Reclaiming Futures: Helping Kids Caught in the Cycle of Drugs, Alcohol and Crime – Nearly 2 million teenagers are arrested every year. Eighty percent test positive for drugs or alcohol, but the vast majority of juvenile justice systems never assess them for substance abuse problems or offer treatment. Reclaiming Futures is a proven approach to helping kids caught in the cycle of drugs, alcohol and crime. In Dayton, Ohio, a successful pilot of the program engages courts, service providers, community groups and volunteers to help teen in trouble.
