I have been taking Percocets now for just about a year . I just currently went a day without taking one and my body is restless, PAIN like no other. I can’t sleep, I’m having chills and night sweats. Please any help would be appreciated!

I just happened to find myself here at this site looking for something else and just read your question. I live in upstate NY and I’m sorry I have no answer to your question, I wish I did. I know others in your situation NOT looking for help. They say the 1st step is realizing you have a problem and that you have done. Try looking in your phone book for some answers- those reactions you are having from not taking the pills is withdralls – you have to grit your teeth and ride it out – there is no other way. you do not want to take a drug to quit a drug. Try saying a prayer to the Universe to help you with this – drink a ton of water too. Try to arrange for some time off from work etc., and above all remember it is all in your mind – it’s mind over matter – be strong – pray for strength – and you are one of the lucky ones, only a year – all those pain pills are killers. My poor husband fought it for over 10 years, but he had real reasons – real pain. But an addition, is an addition. They also have those 12 step programs in all communities. My foster daughter in Orlando goes to a meeting almost every day to help her and it does. I will also pray for you too. The best of luck!!!! a friend in NY
