What Is the Penalty for Possession of New Legend Drug in Florida?

Question by Liz: What is the penalty for possession of new legend drug in Florida?
I was a passenger in a car that got pulled over. The car was searched and the officer found a Baclofin (muscle relaxer) in my purse. I admitted to it being mine, and was honest with the officer, telling him my mother-in-law gave it to me the night before to help me sleep and I totally forgot I had it on me. He charged me with a misdemeanor possession for new legend drug. This pill is NOT a controlled substance, non narcotic, etc. I have NEVER been arrested or been in any kind of trouble in my life, so this is my first offense. Does anybody know what is going to happen to me in court? I received a citation and the officer said I will be mailed a court date. Whats the worst that could happen to me and what will most likely happen?

Simply put, a slap on the wrist. But if you look like a drugged out meth head, you can count on several months.
